“At Home in the Cool: Restoring Ourselves in the Heart of Our Ancestors”
A Mindfulness Retreat in the Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh
With Dharmacharya Peggy Rowe and Larry Ward
October 21-25, 2016
YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park, CO
“We will explore how the deep wisdom and practice of the Heart Sutra can help us to understand the suffering and genius of ourselves and of our ancestors still present within and around us. During this retreat we will practice returning merit to our ancestors, releasing outdated patterning as we touch the cool of peacefulness, non-confusion and non-fear.”
Please join us as we practice mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. We will enjoy sitting meditation, indoor walking meditation, outdoor activities (weather permitting), dharma talks, dharma sharing, eating meditation, total relaxation, mindful movement, singing and community circle.
We will be surrounded by the pristine beauty and wisdom of the Rocky Mountains. Wrapped in a blanket of noble silence, we will have a unique opportunity to come home to our deepest selves and waking to the beauty that is present in every moment.
We will share tools that help us focus our mind. Through the practices of movement, meditation and breathing, we can begin to quite our busy minds, see more clearly, and light up our happiness.
